History of MicroRad

MicroRad was born from the need for a meeting of limited size focused on microwave radiometry and its applications. Since then, it has become a venue for the microwave radiometry community to present new research results, instrument designs and applications to an audience understanding these issues.

The first MicroRad was held in Rome in 1983, and the following nine meetings have taken place approximately every other year in locations alternating between the USA and Italy:
